Prerequisites
Prior to admission, prospective students need to:
- Be 18 years of age (Federal Law requires interstate drivers to be at least 21 years old).
- Be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Take and pass a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam (we can assist with arranging this).
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen. (again, we can help arrange this).
- Acquire a 5-year driving abstract from the local Department of Licensing, which must show a satisfactory driving record.
- Acquire CDL Learners permit from the Department of Licensing (encouraged to have before class but not mandatory).
- Provide a Social Security card (upon request).
- Qualify financially for tuition.
- Visit our school and meet with our Admissions & Student Director who will gladly give a tour of our facilities, discuss tuition options with you, and answer any questions you may have.
